The title of this interesting image does not indicate the species of the bird; and, as usual, I’m curious.
It looks to me, from very limited experience, like a peahen. If it is, then what is it doing on a roof? It should be strutting around on a broad expanse of well tended lawn. What happened to send it to the roof; possibly the intrusion of a photographer? Charles, why did you chase the poor little bird?

Fantastic catch! That does look like he’s a little out of his normal territory.
