Wonderful B&W subject, great range of grays and of course some B&W as well. I could look for ages, lots of foreground interest in the cracked earth and the road in the distance even the remnant of a trail in the sky give it lots of interest. One of the best I have seen in a long time. Whilst it looks like a digital image (i think it is something to do with the relative ease with which we can go for a high contrast) it has the look, that sharpness and clarity and tonal range of the best of wet B&W printing. This is the sort of quality i aspire to, to finally kick film into touch except for fun. I clearly need to understand more about B&W conversion and PS work to achieve this sort of look. Crackingshot!
Thanks Dave. This place is near Cheltenham, Ontario. I put a map link above. ::: ::: ::: Hey Keith, thanks. This is an HDR image, 4 different exposures combined into 1.
Great shot! Is this the area I’ve heard so much about somewhere in the Toronto/Etobicoke area?
