Thank you my friends. :::::::::::::::::::::::::: Hey Patrick, the first time I visited Whitby Psych I only had a Canon PS G2 and Pentax K1000 with two rolls of film. The shots were ok but did not capture the essence of the place. ::::::::::::::: The second time I went I took the G2 and the Canon EOS 10D with the 17-40mm lens. I did lots of exposure bracketing and lots of experimenting. The shots I got were better than the first time but not quite what I had imagined. :::::::::::::::::: I went back a third time with a model. Most of the rooms had a very harsh lighting with sun rays streaming through windows but no light inside at all. It wasn’t easy finding the proper settings to get all the details. Again lots of exposure bracketing, white balance bracketing, and ISO bracketing. This time I was pretty happy with the results. :::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::: I still went back a fourth time for the fun of it and just to experiment, and I took another 200 or so shots. I wanted to go back again but a fence had been put up and the wrecking crew had started their job. So all together I went four times.
I just got done shooting some grainy Tmax 3200 in the old local asylum. I’ll be posting pics from there this week if you are interested… they are still not as frightening as the ones you capture though. I envy this location you have found!
Scary, dark and angry. I wouldn’t want to be left behind in here.

Another question? How many shooting sessions did it take to get to the point you are now?
